Classic Riad Accommodation

I had the pleasure of visiting Morocco and it's an experience I will never forget! This destination offers so much diversity in an itinerary. There is so much culture to not only see but you can fully immerse yourself in the destination.

I went with a small group tour company called On The Go Tours which provided a great overall experience of the country. We first arrived in Marrakech and had an full on experience of the senses. The vibrant colours and electric sights of the night market is something you will not experience anywhere else.

During our 10 day tour we saw cities, deserts and mountains. The cities of Marrakech and Fes have expansive markets that have an array of food, colourful crafts and anything you can imagine are sold in these markets. You could get lost in these Medinas so guides are necessary to navigate these expansive alleyways.

The desert camp is an unforgettable experience that can't be missed. We travelled by camel into the desert to experience the sunset. We stayed at a Bedouin camp overnight and were treated to a bbq dinner prepared by the local people. Before sunset we travelled across the desert on our camels and saw the sunrise it was such a breathtaking journey.

The fragrant spices used to create the tangines are a speciality of Morocco that is both flavourful and a site to be seen. You will want to create these dishes at home once you return. Several of the markets had the tangines to purchase so you can create these dishes yourself.

The accommodations provided in Morocco are breathtaking riads that incorporate the culture of Morocco. They are not only decorative but also cosy and intimate and give you an overall feel of Morocco.
